Before the serious learning of reading, writing and maths, children need a sound foundation of key skills and dispositions  to make this possible. These skills need to be automatic to free the brain up to think about the learning task at hand. To be able to sit at a table and write their name, the body needs to sit upright (the highest form of balance), hold a pencil correctly (gross and fine motor skills), and write across the page (cross the midline). We need to provide our children with multiple opportunities to practice these skills in order to develop automaticity.

This comprehensive bundle of resources is great for developing all aspects of your child’s movement in a fun and playful way.
