What is structured literacy?

Too often, reading programs skip the first two steps, phonological and phonemic awareness which include crucial skills for beginner readers.

With strong oral foundations, the TLC structured literacy program emphasizes the importance of learning to hear the sounds in words before introducing the letters. All literacy areas are integrated, with each step forming a strong foundation for the next.

Teaching activities use fun and engaging pedagogy that is suitable for all learners.
